DaO M&E Network
From UN Coherence Country Wiki
Information
The first meeting of the Delivering as One Monitoring and Evaluation Network took place in Tam Dao (Viet Nam) from 9 to 11 Septmber 2008. Participants from seven pilot countries and two “self-starters” (Malawi and Papua New Guinea), met to share experiences and discuss issues of common concern to be brought to the attention of HQ. They were joined by representatives from UN DOCO and UNEG as well.Among the many issues discussed, a significant portion of the meeting dealt with the issue of harmonised reporting vs. agency required annual reports. It was decided that a single good “One UN” annual report could cover most agency requirements and UN DOCO agreed that the case could be tested in three of the pilot offices (Viet Nam, Albania and Rwanda). Other issues were the evaluation of the pilots and transaction costs.
