Adding an image to the wiki is easy!

Just find the spot in the text where you would like to add the image by moving your cursor there, then lick on the Add Image button in the toolbar. This will popup a dialogue box that will have 3 steps:

 1. Choose the image that you want to add to your page by browsing to where it is located on your computer.
 2. Add a caption to the image if you wish. This text will be displayed below the image if you decide to add it in.
 3. Go! - this will automatically upload the image and then add it to the page for you

You should get a page saying that your image was successfully added to the wiki with a picture of the image that you uploaded. You can then close this window and continue editing the page. When you are done editing, remember to save the page so that your image will remain.

Your picture should now appear in the text!

Advanced Syntax

By defualt, the Add Image button will write the syntax for you, but you can customize it to change the way the image appears.

Captions

my caption
my caption

If you want to put a caption under your image, use this format:

Thumbnails

my caption
my caption

If your image is large, you may want to use the thumbnail format. This automatically re-sizes the image on the page, so that a smaller version shows up. Readers can still see the full-size version simply by clicking on the thumbnail. Using thumbnail images prevents pages from becoming cluttered with huge pictures. Use this format when adding a thumbnail:

Resizing Images

This is a thumbnail image that has been re-sized to 80 pixels.
This is a thumbnail image that has been re-sized to 80 pixels.

To resize an image, put the number of pixels wide the image should be after the word "thumb" or "frame" if it is a thumbnail or caption, or after the image name if not. Follow this number with the letters "px". For example:

or:

which is for images not in thumbnail or caption format.

Aligning Images

Images that are NOT thumbnail images can be aligned on the right by putting the word "right" or "left" after the image name.

If the image IS a thumbnail image, aligning on the right is easy. Just place the image before the text and it automatically aligns.
