Pilot Programme

One of the recommendations of the 2006 High Level Panel Report to the Secretary General on System Wide Coherence was to select a small number of countries (eight in total were selected) to experiment with improving country level coherence amongst agencies and in support of national priorities. However it is important to realize that while these countries are experimenting, much of what they are doing has already been legislated by the Triennial Comprehensive Policy Review (TCPR) of 2004 and reaffirmed in the recent TCPR of 2007. Therefore, what is tried in those countries can inform the work on Coherence in other countries, but is not necessarily directly replicable.
