On January 8, 2008, the Malian Government signed the CPAP in the presence of His Excellency the President of Mali Amadou Toumani Touré. The ceremony took place in the State House and all Ministers of partner departments of our Country Programme of Cooperation attended the signing ceremony. This is the first time the signing of a CPAP was organised in State House.
Usually CPAPs are signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Apparently, the President's office instructed the MOFA to organise this ceremony based on the importance H.E. the President places in the CO CPAP and programme of cooperation. In the spirit of "Delivering as One' the UNICEF Rep requested that the other members of the Ex-Com agencies also prepare their CPAPs for a sychronised ceremony and the Government accepted the Reps' request.
