In October 2007, Ms Veneman made her second visit to South Africa (her first visit taking place in 2005). She had the opportunity to meet with the UNCT and was very much impressed with the way the UN as a whole had been able to re"think" their added value to the country and re-tool themselves as appropriate. She thought the South African team was an excellent example of what a UNCT should look like!
They also have an UNDAF reflective of country priorities and a common CPAP which are being held up to bilateral donors a good example of what they should be doing.
