A wiki is basically a collaborative workspace that anyone can make changes to. Any visitor to this site can create new pages (or edit existing pages) on topics related to HIV and AIDS. Once you have started a page, other visitors can edit, improve, and change the page as well. As time goes on, the quality of the pages will improve and the site will get better and better as people continue to make changes and improvements. If you would like to see what changes have been made, you can look either on the "Recent Changes" link, or in the "Page History" of the page you are interested in. Wiki's work because the wiki community is self-monitoring; users rely on each other to identify and quickly remove vandalism, false-information, and inappropriate material from the site.
